Hatch’s mine-shaft-and-hoist design team have extensive experience with some of the largest and deepest mines in Africa and North America.
Hoist-duty cycles are calculated and specifications drawn up for equipment selection and procurement. Shaft and station steelwork are designed to conform to codes developed specifically for high-speed and high-capacity hoisting systems.
Headgears are laid out to accommodate the shaft and hoist configurations and designed to conform to internationally accepted codes and standards. Headgears can be in steel or concrete and be situated on surface or underground.
Rock handling in the shafts can be fully automated to achieve maximum duty while reducing human interface.
