Abstract
Phased modifications to existing EAF fume controls can offer significant advantages in light of future considerations. Emissions inventories have been used in a number of projects to evaluate relative emissions from meltshop sources. Inventories, compiled using factors, flow measurements and flow estimates, are useful in predicting improvements. The phased approach provides maximum flexibility in the short term for existing systems and minimizes cost for proposed future systems.
