Abstract
In a time when market demand is in a state of prepetual flux, it is imperative that the operating philosophies of a bar and wire rod mill be optimized, partiularly for a mill with diverse product ranges and custoemrs order requirements. This paper presents an exampe of how dynamic simulations can be used to accurately determine the impact of operating philosophy on mill productivity and achievable production volume.
