Hatch is completing a prefeasibility study that will define the scope of Voisey’s Bay Nickel Company’s commercial plant
in Newfoundland, Canada. Several process options are being evaluated including hydrometallurgical and nickel matte
refining. The commercial processing facility is scheduled for commissioning in 2011.

The Voisey’s Bay Nickel demonstration facility was built to validate a technological process to justify construction of a fullscale commercial operation to process Voisey’s Bay concentrate. The demonstration plant is approximately 1/100th scale of the proposed commercial plant.
