Hatch is completing a prefeasibility study that will define the scope of Voisey’s Bay Nickel Company’s commercial plant in Newfoundland, Canada. Several process options are being evaluated including hydrometallurgical and nickel matte refining. The commercial processing facility is scheduled for commissioning in 2011.

Hatch is also providing engineering support to the mine/mill development in Voisey’s Bay, Labrador in association with Torngait Services Inc, an Inuit-owned company.

Hatch provided full EPCM and commissioning services to the client for the 1:100 scale hydromet demonstration plant.
