The G-Man gas management system, developed by Hatch and successfully installed at Portland Natural Gas Transmission
Systems (PNGTS), provides a company-wide source for all information pertaining to shipper activity. PNGTS was a new
pipeline and required establishment of the business processes especially those unique to their shared facilities. The
G-Man system manages the associated gas management activities including contract administration, nomination control,
capacity allocation, capacity release, scheduling and confirmation, operating balance agreements (OBA) and shipper
imbalance tracking, invoicing and month end reconciliation. The system also incorporates multiple windows for intraday
nominations and is consistent with the gas industry (GISB) standards.
