John Bianchini began his career at Hatch in 1985 and in 1997 he was appointed Associate, then Director - Non Ferrous in 1999. He was elected to the Hatch Board of Directors in 2003 and as President and CEO in 2012. Mr. Bianchini is a graduate of the University of Toronto where he holds an Honours B.Sc. Applied Science.
Mr. Bianchini’s experience includes process development and evaluation of hydrometallurgical and chemical processes in the base-metal industries; implementation of major metallurgical facilities in various global locations involving project and construction management, equipment layout and design, contract administration, commissioning and start-up assistance and particular expertise in the implementation of new technology projects and the design, supervision and operations of pilot plant facilities.
Professional affiliations include the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers, Canadian Society of Chemical Engineers and Professional Engineers Ontario.
